Who We Are

Arche Stone Build was founded in 2009 by master stonemason Marcus Arche, with a single mission: to bring the timeless beauty of natural stone to homes and commercial spaces. What started as a two-man operation in Melbourne's inner suburbs has grown into a multinational stone construction group, with offices and crews operating across Australia and Denmark.

Today, our team of 60+ specialist tradespeople work across two countries — from luxury residential builds in Toorak and Mosman, to landmark commercial projects in Brisbane's CBD and heritage stone restorations across Silkeborg and Aarhus. Every project, large or small, is treated with the same level of care and precision that defined our very first stone wall.

We source only the finest natural stone — Australian sandstone, Victorian bluestone, Italian travertine, Scandinavian granite, and more — working with trusted quarries and suppliers on two continents to ensure every piece meets our strict quality standards.

From Melbourne to the World

  • 2009

    Founded in Melbourne

    Marcus Arche launches Arche Masonry as a sole trader in Melbourne's inner east, focusing on residential feature walls and cladding.

  • 2012

    First Commercial Contract

    Secured first major commercial project — granite lobby cladding for a Collins Street office building. The team grows to 8.

  • 2015

    National Expansion

    Opened Sydney and Brisbane offices. Rebranded as Arche Stone Build Pty Ltd. First retaining wall engineering certifications obtained.

  • 2018

    Award Recognition

    Winner of the HIA Australian Stone Project of the Year for the Toorak Luxury Residence sandstone exterior — a landmark project.

  • 2021

    Perth & Adelaide Offices

    Expanded west — Perth and Adelaide offices opened, covering WA and SA markets. Stone import partnerships established.

  • 2023

    Going International — Silkeborg

    Opened our first European branch in Silkeborg, Denmark, bringing Australian stone craftsmanship to Scandinavian heritage and architectural projects.

  • 2025

    Multinational Milestone

    Surpassed 320 completed projects across two countries and introduced our 10-year craftsmanship guarantee on every Australian and Danish build.
